Personal money management presents a challenge
to most of us, but it is especially difficult for low income
families and individuals. In part, this is due to not having
enough money. It is also due to a lack of information about
how to manage money effectively.
Financial literacy training covers a broad range of topics
about personal financial management. Those who take the training
learn about the array of financial products and services that
exist and how to make a decision about which ones are right
for them. They learn about the hidden costs and regulations
that end up consuming their limited resources and how to avoid
them. And they learn how to balance their budget and plan for
the future.

Classes are tailored to suit the needs of the clients being
trained, but all presentations will include discussions

CCR provides Train the Trainer classes
to members of the Coalition so that they can provide financial
literacy education to their clients in locations and on topics
that are best suited for the constituency they serve.
CCR researches the latest information in the financial literacy
industry: best practices, changing laws and regulations, new
products, etc. and bring that information to the Coalition
on a regular basis.
CCR develops tools to help Coalition members
provide participants with useful information in an accessible
format. CCR works with Coalition members to create new curricula
to meet the needs of clients.
CCR convenes Coalition members annually to share best practices,
discuss emerging issues and set a plan for the coming year.
